Seasoned and well-rounded, Brant can take a user story from whiteboards to wireframes and from comps to code. His thorough execution is the stuff of legend. Best of all, he’s a collaborator who never fails to ask teammates and users the questions that need to be asked. Brant often leads visual design, prototyping, and front-end development.
Before joining Slide UX, Brant honed his visual design, development, and marketing skills in-house with Austin's own National Instruments (B2B) and Golfsmith (B2C). His interest in user behavior led him to Interaction Design role with SolarWinds where he led UI design for weekly A/B tests. Eventually, he took a User Experience Architect position with The Advisory Board Company / Crimson where he was focused on making data actionable through insightful dashboards for medical practice managers.
When Brant joined Erin's independent consulting practice, Slide UX was officially formed. Whereas Erin's focus had been on information architecture, analytics, wireframes, interactive prototyping, and research, Brant's skillset opened new doors to a more full-service offering of visual design and even front-end code.
In his spare time, Brant often competes with his two young sons to see who does the best "monster." When they're not working on monster development, the entire crew enjoys exploring the Austin hill country for new hiking trails, freshwater swim spots, and authentic burger joints.
